after the 1861 engraving, "Mount Vernon, The House of Washington, drawn from a Sketch by Kern, executed by Middletown, Strobridge & Co., Cin.," oil on canvas, framed.
23 x 35 inches (sight), 28 1/2 x 40 1/2 inches (frame).
Condition
Two patches to canvas verso- with corresponding retouch to one patch, and small area of paint loss to the other patch. Canvas lined only at canvas edge and tacked to original stretcher; overall craquelure; retains early frame.retouch to edges of canvas at frame.
